Hardcover journals with a rounded spine, an elastic closure and a ribbon marker feel like a bookstore product and are the usual corporate gift. Leather and leatherette journals with a debossed logo are the executive version and often come in a gift box with a pen.
Sizes and Paper
A5, about 5.8 by 8.3 inches, is the standard journal size and fits a bag. A6 pocket notebooks fit a jacket. Letter-size and B5 notebooks suit desks and students. Lined or ruled paper is the default, with dot grid, graph and blank pages available on many styles. Page counts run from 80 to 240, and heavier paper resists ink bleed on the back of the page.
